Earnest Blount (Ian Simon), genre-confounding producer and member of the WEDIDIT Collective, goes beyond the opinioned conceptions of the beat-scene to fuse organic textures with synthesized elements, merging the resulting complexities into multifaceted layers of sonic indeterminacy, where appropriation and compositional authority assert themselves in automorphic congruence, where the boundaries of these practices bring their contradistinctions into structural configuration with one another, blurring the lines of originality and playing with notions of authorship with his distinctive/penetrating musical understanding.
